Garage - Reserva de mesa

I wandered into Garage on the advice of some work colleagues and what a great wee place. There are lots of cosy cafes with character around St Kilda Town Hall and this is certainly another one. Always busy but very friendly, relaxed and efficient service. The coffee is terrific (a little warmer would be good), the best I've found in the area, though, and this is not unique to Garage, their large coffee is what I would call medium at best - oh to find a place around here that sells a large !!The food is also good - the toasted cheese and ham sandwich was outstanding, the spinach, leek and feta muffin was fabulous and the croissants are great. Ordered both food and drinks a couple of times. Something about the place just sings out sloppy and disinterested. Chai was lukewarm and stingy portions. Toilet was revolting - dirty and stunk - looks like it could do with a good clean. Staff hot and cold. Chef was sitting outside smoking and blowing smoke right across to where I was sitting trying to read the paper and relax - totally ignorant. So many other good places around so I won't be back

This cafe looks so gorgeous, the decor is spot on but I wouldn't return as the food is very average. I had a super food salad and it was pretty awful. There was so much apple cider vinegar on the salad that it was too sour to eat and I left my food behind. The coffee and service was good but I wouldn't go back.

This East St Kilda cafe has a very warm vibe . Best coffee in Melbourne. I really enjoy the super food salad or the Reuben sandwich , and on less ravenous days poached eggs on toast or delicious savory muffins. The service is always amazing and the staff are super friendly. Reserva una mesa ahora

Good little café back up from the busier area of St.Kilda.Almomd ice latte very good as was the green juice. Salads were good but were warm? Burger was big and full of flavour too.We did like our lunch in a quieter part of St.Kilda.

For starters, a delicious matcha latte! Then a nice menu and very good pastries (gluten-free in particular)! The setting is really nice, behind the curtain of greenery that separates us very well from the street. Very good lunch!

I know us Melbournians have a reputation as taking coffee far too seriously. ..but why wouldn't you. .. Best coffee ... seriously.

Really good food and great coffee. Has a really nice vibe in the cafe and has some street seating as well.
