A bit out the way but close to the city Ebensee. Yeas you can walk there. The food is outstanding and it won't cost an arm and a leg. They have large barrels of beer so you get it fresh and with excellent taste. The menu is simple with only a little more than a dozen meal items but you will find each item specially prepared and you can ask for changes which they were willing to do for us. I had the Schweitzer braten and added a klausen with gravy and it was fantastic. They have a small salad bar which was a hit with everyone. The place was roomy and quaint. We were there on a night when the local dance club got together and they were having a very good time. We also had a good time dining with many of our friends from Austria. They were very accommodating and were gracious in every request we had. The food was very good I recommend the Grillteller with three meats although the rump steak plate was also excellent. All the meals were delicious and the beer was good. A good place to go with 2 or 20.

We went there to have dinner with 2 children and a baby. The service was very good, the waiter and waitress were very friendly. The owner was very friendly and nice. At that time it took about 30 minutes to wait until we git our food but it was worth the wait. The foods were very delicious. We were very satisfied, if we visit ebensee again will definitely have another dinner time there
