Gasthof Dorfwirt is an excellent choice in Oberndorf for traditional Austrian/German cuisine. A step above standard gasthaus fare, the meal I ate was pork medallions in a mushroom sauce with fresh spatzle noodles. The medallions were flavorful, generously portioned, and lightly cooked. The spaetzle were almost more egg than flour and were a perfect match for a rich sauce and fresh mushroom. The main dining room was of a traditional design, but everything was in a tasteful style. Not sure what you write about this place. The menu seams are the same for a decade. All portions had heavy sauces, but were not bad. Large soups for beginners. If you want the special features, you must order them a day in advance.

A typical Austrian restaurant with good Austrian cuisine. The service is friendly and fast and the food delicious. Prices are also reasonable. A good find in Obendorf.
