Gasthaus zur Schranne

We had lunch here recently. The beer is great, while our food could have been better. The rösti was ok but a bit too dry. The knödel were even dryer and too hard. The salads were good, though. Probably they are better with the meat dishes. I did appreciate that the had a vegan dish on their menu. Service is slow but friendly.

We ate there based on a recommendation from a local bar and again the next night! The schnitzel was great as were the soups, salads and of course the excellent kaiserschmarrn!! The second night they had live music. Wish they had a location near us in Long Island!

A good restaurant... nothing exceptional, but a very satisfying meal. Service was good; staff was attentive, even in the tourist season.

We went two nights in a row because the food and service were so good. The wiener schnitzel and goulash soup were delicious.

Excellent Bavarian food served by friendly staff in an authentic environment. Very good value for money.
