Went for the 1st time on June 23rd and although the food was good (except for my cold pizza), in general it was good.The atmosphere was nice and as the night went on (after 10pm), the music became considerably louder (to the point where everyone was screaming, haha).The reason for the 2 stars was the service, it was terrible.The waitress was rude (making faces, sometimes arrogant, she forgot to bring cutlery, milk and dessert for one of our friends).My friend had to get up to ask for cutlery, milk etc….. we couldn’t find her, it’s like she disappeared and the restaurant wasn’t even that full. I had a delightful dining experience at Gatto Matto with my mom. The food was excellent, and we enjoyed our meal. We were seated at 9:40 despite having a reservation for 9:00. Around 9:30, I asked the hostess for an update and expressed that we might prefer to leave. Her response was that not everyone in our group of ten had arrived by 9:00. While the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, with good background music and a pleasant decor being the only highlights, our experience was marred by the slow service at the start. We went for a girls night and our food was delicious and the ambiance was great how ever the service wasn’t up to par. We ordered a tiramisu dessert for our friends birthday and they just plopped it on a plate upside down. our drinks took a very long time to arrive, we watched the bartender make one drink and then stop to go take shots with the table behind us. Our waitress tossed the dessert menu on our table on her way to the kitchen without saying a word. It was a disappointing experience despite having heard good things about this restaurant. I have the feeling that this restaurant used to be of higher quality in the past. The service was mediocre; we often had to look for our waitress. The pizza with porchetta and provolone was quite dry and overly salty. On the other hand, the grilled octopus appetizer was quite good. Overall, nothing stood out as exceptional, but it wasn’t terrible either. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

When we visit Montreal my wife and I like to try something new! We checked out this Italian restaurant recommended by a friend! Let me tell you what an incredible experience we had! The food, the atmosphere, the service was incredible! The vibe was amazing! Will definitely come back to this restaurant. Can't wait! This place is fantastic, and I would definitely return! The food is delicious and satisfying, with everything tasting incredibly fresh. I visited for a birthday celebration, and even though we had a large group, our waitress, Beatrice, was outstanding. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
