George's Fish and Chips

First time having fish and chips from Captain George's. It did not disappoint. I ordered through Skip the Dishes. My order was passed around to 3 different drivers and I didn't get my food for almost an hour. Definitely NOT Captain George's fault. The only reason I am including this info is because when I finally got my order and was unpacking it I found this note pictured below. Customer service like this is hard to find these days. They didn't have any part in why my food was so late yet they did something nice to make up for it. Durham's best family-owned Fish 'n Chips restaurant! I recently organized a small surprise 75th birthday dinner for my dad because it's his favorite treat. The staff allowed me to come in early to decorate the table with balloons. It made my dad's birthday extra special, and the food and service were excellent, as always! Thank you to the staff! A special shout out to Crystal, my dad's favorite server.

We have had fish and chips here many times and never had an issue not sure if under new management.. We ordered lunch for mothers day as it is my grandma'sfavourite. 6 halibut and 2 chips.. we could not believe how hard the batter was on the fish it was so hard to even cut through we had to pick the fish up in one piece to eat it..very over fried.. For almost $100 we were extremely disappointed ?

Very good place to eat! We ordered 2 pcs. Haddock and Chips, which we shared lots of chips)! Good, attentive and courteous service. There's complete condiments for our dish. Our first time here so we forgot to take photos. Will add when we go back. Check it out! Reserva una mesa ahora

We ordered for the 1st time haddock fish and chips. The fish was fresh and the batter was crispy. Staff were friendly. We will definitely return.Parking: There was lots of parking available.
