George's Market At Dreshertown

I visited George's Market to return some items and buy fresh salads from their salad bar. As a new customer, I decided to give it a try but two incidents left me with a negative impression. Firstly, the lady at the customer service desk was not very friendly when I wanted to return opened but lightly used items. Instead of explaining the store policy kindly, she was rather abrupt. Secondly, when I tried to take home some empty plastic containers for my salads, I was surprised to learn that they were not free. The woman at the register was unfriendly when she saw them in my cart and informed me that they cost $1.25 each. I explained that I was unaware of this policy but she was still abrupt....

I had a terrible experience at George's. This was my second visit to the restaurant. I ordered a cake for a rehearsal dinner, which was supposed to be a half sheet cake for $26.99. However, when I was finalizing the order with the baker, he asked if I wanted a pound cake, to which I agreed. When I arrived to pick up my order, I noticed that the name was misspelled and the price had changed to $39.99. The girl who corrected the mistake was rude and mentioned that she was not a cake decorator. The management did not address the issue, so I left with a more expensive cake that looked unappealing.

We ordered the chocolate chip layered cake with buttercream frosting from shop n’ bag and it was truly INCREDIBLE!! I have always been a huge cake person and this cake was one of the best I ever had. Even people who attended my event that aren’t “cake people” loved it and were asking to take some home. Rachel and the team at the bakery were so easy to work with and designed such a beautiful cake for my wedding ceremony. I highly recommend!!

I've gone to George's for the last 3 years for annual Cousin's party. I get their deli platter usually for 25-35 people. Always get raves for party food. I pick up the day of. Always ready. Always more than we can eat. Great store. Sorry I don't live closer. I'd shop there every week. Reserva una mesa ahora

I enjoy the salad bar at this restaurant, however, I have noticed that the dressing containers are refillable and don't seem to be cleaned out before being refilled. They appear dirty on the outside and are difficult to reach. Despite this, the salad bar itself is good.

Great place for your all days grocery shop, I love their cake, the Japanese take away and the big choice of deli ready to go. Big choice of meat, fish, vegetables, nuts and fruit. Highly recommended.

Fantastic market run by a family. If you're not a fan of Giant, like myself, give George's a try! They offer superior produce, top-notch customer service, and have a friendlier staff.

I haven't visited the restaurant since they did renovations and it looks really nice now! Once the renovations are complete, it will feel like a completely new establishment. Reserva una mesa ahora

I recently had this place cater for a family event and was impressed by the beautiful selection of deli items and various types of food. I highly recommend checking it out.
