Hallo, wir waren an diesem Wochenende in Coburg und übernachten (Freitag-Sonntag ) im Hotel Gerberhof in Coburg. Von außen macht dieses Hotel ein rustikalen Eindruck aber die Zimmer sind sauber und gepflegt. Das Badezimmer gerade 1 Jahr alt tip top i.o. Der Eigentümer ist freundlich und nett. Das Frühstück War super(für das Geld der Übernachtungen habe ich schon schlechter gegessen,wenn überhaupt Frühstück inklusive war...) von Wurst/Käse über Marmelade bis hin zu 2 Säften und Müsli alles da. Brötchen/Semmeln und Brot sorgen für reichlich Auswahl. Die Lage ist super 5 Gehminuten vom Rathaus entfernt,liegt es am Stadtzentrum. For the James Blunt concert in August we spent 2 nights at the Gerberhof and regretted it in the after. Despite the window opened, there was a heat in the corner room that was unbearable. The standard of the hotel is similar to that of a youth hostel. Breakfast with gum-like semmals and an otherwise too small selection for the high price (95€ night) is also available on Sunday only until 9 a.m. When we wanted to take some breakfast at 10:30, we got to hear, we should please show some more gratitude and appreciate that we can still take some of the “rich” buffet. Coburg is a delightful city, it is worth spending a few euros more for a loving and comfortable hotel!
A spontaneous visit to Coburg with a search for a suitable hotel accommodation led my friends to the Gerberhof in the pedestrian zone. The historic building, modernly rebuilt and restored, is just minutes from the castle square, Ehrenburg, market square and all attractions. In the accompanying wine room we were prepared an excellent steak, the breakfast buffet was more than abundant. The pricing is in the favorable range. Anyone who can do without luxury such as swimming pool and sauna is more than satisfied here
The hotel is centrally located and the host strives to meet you. The big problem is the cleanliness of the room. Although I pointed out to the host that the room is dirty, he only gave me a vacuum cleaner to clean myself. It is unfortunate to find residues of human nails, dust and huge lints for a stay of 59 euros per night without breakfast, this is not acceptable.

Der Gerberhof ist ein zentral gelegenes Hotel. Man ist quasi direkt in der Fußgängerzone von Coburg. Die besten Zeiten hatte der Gerberhof wohl schon vor längerem, er ist recht einfach gehalten und überholt. Für eine Nacht reicht er, für mehr aber nicht.

From bread time to Thai cuisine to fillet steak. Very delicious. All freshly prepared. There was also beer and wine. All super and fine.
