Giant Steps Cellar Door

This was my partner's first ever wine tasting! The pop-up cellar door is situated above a café and bakery on Main Street in town. It features a beautiful green outdoor space and a cozy indoor tasting area. We sampled a selection of their regional wines, around six in total. Our sommelier was fantastic—exceptionally knowledgeable and eager to share fun facts with us. The founder, Phil Sexton, also established @matildabaybrewery next door, as well as the renowned @littlecreaturesbrewing. We simply walked in, and no reservations were necessary. If you have to choose one vineyard to visit whilst in the Yarra Valley, make sure its Giant Steps. Why? A phenomenal range of high quality wines offering exceptional value complemented by one of the best cellar doors in the region. The care and attention the staff take to ensure you fully understand and appreciate the Giant Steps range was excellent. I didn't get the chance to experience the restaurant however, at the time I was tasting, the place was almost full. That says something in itself.

A fantastic first stop for the day! The staff member who took us through our tasting was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly entertaining. The wines were also excellent—so much so that we've ordered a few boxes through AusPost! I highly recommend opting for the Single Vineyard tasting; it's definitely worth the additional $10, which you will get back if you purchase some wine, and trust me, you'll want to!

Cool looking building, inside and outside situated right next to the road. Really interesting vibe in the decor, lighting and the way products are displayed. Ultra modern but cosy feeling. They have wine tastings with food if you want and an interesting menu. You can see the functioning winery through the huge glass wall at one end of the restaurant. Reserva una mesa ahora

We decided to stop by for a tasting after visiting Habituel Bakery, which is located in the same building, and we’re so glad we did! The tasting was a wonderful experience that lasted about 90 minutes and featured around 12 different wines. Nick, who served us, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place!

We came here with a group to do the cellar door wine tasting and it was awesome! Would definitely recommend as an experience to anyone visiting Healesville. Anna was so friendly and helpful, we learned a lot and it was great to see her passion about the wines (which were all delicious).
