We finally made our first visit to Gibson's Fish and Chips in their new Louise Avenue location. Better late than never, I guess, but we really shouldn't have waited so long.Gibson's Fish and Chips commemorated 50 years of business in Saskatoon two years ago. I only recently discovered Gibson's Fish and Chips, and eagerly made my way there.The staff were quite friendly and helpful, especially the older gentleman, who I presume was Mr. Gibson himself, who told me his mother was English...after I asked him if I could expect as good as the fish and chips in England.The presentation of the take away meal was excellent in a nice little box covered in the traditional newspaper and tied with string.When I opened the box at home, I was so disappointed in the look on the whole. Our first visit to this restaurant recommended by my cousin. We weren't disappointed! Obviously a go to place in Saskatoon - very busy place! Staff very welcoming, friendly and accommodating.Good menu selection. I had the Fish & Chips (2 pc Alaskan Cod) - full plate! Next time I think we'll share one order!My wife had the Chicken Caesar Salad which was very good - huge helping - she took some home!Certainly reasonably priced and tasty meals. Highly recommend, but better to go either early dinner hour or later to miss the crowds around the dinner hour.

My husband and I stopped at this restaurant for lunch while in Saskatoon. The fish was very good and quite tasty. Portion size was good for lunch but I found the prices a bit high although we did have good food.The restaurant is a good size but there is not too much parking out front. Wow! Talk about fast, friendly service!Got seated right away! Served right away!Appies were served within 5 minutes and our meal about 8 minutes after that!Clean and delicious!I thought this place had closed down but now I see that they did renovations and it looks and feels amazing!!I will 100% be back here, specially on a Friday for their halibut!!

Gibsons has been around Saskatoon for a long time. I don't often go out for fish & chips but when I do - it is always Gibsons. Older decor inside but it doesn't matter when you get great, satisfying food. Take out is fun too, as the boxes are warped in newspaper.

The closest to what I remember as a child in Britain. About the only place we'll go for fish and chips. Cooked fresh when ordered. Resonably priced and with a full bar menu to boot.

The cod is very good. Some of the best pieces of fish I have had in a long time. The chips are disappointing but the fish makes up for that.

If you like deep fried seafood this is the place for you.they serve all different kinds of combos and serve is very quick.
