Gladstone's Library

We weren't staying but just dropped in for the restaurant which is well worth a visit . Food drinks: The restaurant is lovely with very pleasant and helpful staff. The menu is very good the food is freshly prepared and tastes great. Or you can have just a coffee and cake, all presented really nicely. Plenty of choice and very enjoyable and reasonable. The group of people I was with all thoroughly enjoyed it and we need up in the lovely garden for drinks. I am looking forward to trying the Sunday lunch which we have been advised to book for rather than just turn up as it is very popular. Noteworthy details: A beautiful building, well worth a visit even if only popping in for the restaurant.

Amazing place, worked in library. The dining was fabulous, best vegan bettered only by the Allotment in Manchester. Rooms are stylish and functional. The honesty bar in the evening was welcome and allowing a total technology detox for my stay, as chat or read options primarily. Beautiful building, lovely atmosphere. A very polite quietly spoken gentleman took our order in the restaurant and the cakes and coffee were divine. Only downside was the noise from the kitchen, the staff were talking in really loud voices which spoilt the peaceful experience Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 5

Having visited several times in the past for various events I recently took some friends for morning coffee just to see this wonderful gem of a place. As always, staff were welcoming and accommodating, service great and atmosphere, as always, enchanting! Service: 5 Location: 5

We went for lunch only to find they don't serve lunch after 2pm sadly (it was 2:10pm when we walked in) perhaps extend to 2:30pm for late walkers?
