I was very disappointed with the restaurant's online website. It mentioned specials from Monday to Friday, but when I arrived, I was told there were no specials. I had to show the young waitress the website, and she then showed us a new website on her phone, which was different from the one advertised. It seemed like they wouldn't have told us about the new specials unless I had mentioned it. This felt like false advertising. Despite a previous poor experience of Sunday Lunch here, we decided to give it another go. This time for a midweek dinner. Their website has WEEKDAY SPECIALS Treat Yourself to a special dinner for just £9.95! Available Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5 9 pm. Except it’s not. We booked for 6pm on a Wednesday, ordered drinks, then asked for the weekday specials only to be told they’re not available. No apology, no explanation. We had no choice but to order from the main menu, which was significantly more expensive. The food was fine but why pull in customers through your website if you don’t provide the offer. So second time here was another disappointment

We came here last minute to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we were not waiting long at all. We enjoyed sitting in a nice seating area away from the busy and noisy pub. The food was delicious with no complaints, and the portions were huge. I had the lasagne with garlic bread and salad, all of which were faultless. My husband had the burger and chips with salad, and everything was also faultless. The chips were real chippy chips and the best we've had in a while. We were too full to try dessert, but we would definitely come back again. Thank you!

I have eaten at the Red Lion many times and the last visit in July for a lunchtime meal was as delicious as always. A varied menu and wonderful food in plentiful portion. Going agin this Friday and can't wait...it will be superb as always. I love the chilli covered cheesy chips but will try something else for a change as my friend recommends the ciabatta rolls with sausages. Reserva una mesa ahora

Oh my days,went for steak night..absolutely amazing...steak done to perfection, sauces everything amazing. Haven't had a meal anywhere as perfect in ages. Staff so friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble and it was so busy. Will definitely re visit. Well done Red lion penyffordd and compliments to the chef's brilliant

The steak was barely warm, the house wine was priced significantly higher at £17.70 a bottle compared to £7.22 on Amazon, no steak knives were provided, and the staff appeared disinterested. Overall, it was a complete rip-off.

Took the family for Father’s Day, the Steak Ale pie was great! Good service too, recommend for a good quality meal at a reasonable price.
