A visit to the Cologne Fair in Deutz took place. I would like to strengthen myself in the vicinity even soon, before I get into the exhibition. But where? I appreciate the recommendations of Helmut Gote; but his book dates back to 2013 and what else is it? His recommendation for the Rheinufer: “Glashaus” in Hyatt. There is the best panoramic view of the old town of Cologne – and also good food. But the then chef is no longer at the stove. The successor of Mr. Gote as a restaurant tester at the Kölner Stadtanzeiger is Carsten Henn. First of all the restaurant looks amazing, nice view of the Dom, the Rhine river and I don’t know the name of that bridge perfect place when looking for a fine dining restaurant. The food was absolutely divine, we ordered menu from the grill, so I did ordered the welsh lamb carrée, my hubby had the marinated squid and for the kid Dorade Royal filet and chips, with some salad, wok vegetables and I think broccoli… The food smelled beautifully, my lambs were so tender, so juicy, so tasty, even the crunchy part was so easy to chew, the seasoning they used was spot on, the chef just nailed it… My kid loved his fish and chips, hubby enjoyed his food, and mostly my lamb that he tasted… We had the d...
The summer menu, this time with focus fish was fantastic again, just again with the matching wine. Very nice cuff bar, which you hardly get served in Germany. Thanks to the great service I am delighted about every time, I have learned a lot about cuisine and preparation. Highlight for me this time: the Amalfi lemon, I will get myself. Super intense taste. I am still excited about the concept of menus, and look forward to the new menu again
Once again a great evening with delicious dishes this time the dessert with the Valohra chocolate was the absolute highlight, but also the fish to the main dish was delicious!
