We stopped off half way on our walk to Roseberry Topping, we were greeted by a friendly cafe owner who was interested in where we were going and offered some useful advice about picking up a taxi in the area at the end of the day. There were two kinds of soup on offer which were both nice, I opted for the tomato and basil which was thick and very warming, I also tried the aptly named adventurers soup a vegetable broth with lentils which was very filling. To finish it had to be a cup of tea and cake but there was so much choice, it was difficult to make a decision, in the end I chose the coffee and walnut cake which was delicious. Such a great little cafe, a perfect stop on the Cleveland Way or if you are out cycling or walking in the area. A small but hearty menu which is vegetarian friendly. The homemade scones are excellent. The cafe boasts a selection of homemade cakes and there are also some vegan bake bars on the menu. Beautiful views, dog-friendly and lovely staff.

Excellent view on a sunny day and food good and took 90 minutes yes 90 to get it. Kept being told it was coming and got no apology when at last it did. Beware when there is even a small queue for hot food on a sunny weekend here.

A delightful tearoom in a good location which attracts both walkers and cyclists. Good menu, good value, good food service a little slow

excellent food served with a friendly smile. my favorite is the suppe and toastie combo.
