We had a good stay, nice little cute spot, big rooms for families, amenities were good, front staff was amazing. It was pet friendly which I loved, the outdoor space was great but our pup could not have as much fun indoors due to the restrictions and we were very conscious so we could not be relaxed at all times. I completely understand that they have white sheets and it can get a little hard to clean and such but maybe they should brainstorm ideas to introduce pet friendlier spaces indoors too, not everyone likes to carry a crate or have to tie their pets in a corner.
I stayed at this hotel on the night of October 7, and unfortunately, we encountered several issues. Late at night, we noticed water leaking from the toilet, and by morning, the bathroom—and eventually the room—began to smell like sewage. We were in a garden room on the ground floor, and to our dismay, a bug crawled across our bed in the morning. The smell in the bathroom was so unbearable that none of us could even shower, and there was no fan available to help dissipate the odors. Additionally, the room had a musty smell. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
We stayed in a large room in the middle of the beach resort. We only got a very old one, which was unreasonable with a baby. The new room was wonderful and almost too big. You can tell that the new owners are trying their best and renovating. Corona and the hurricanes did not contribute to success either. The location was excellent. The food is okay. Breakfast was also okay, as only sweet food. Very nice staff and super helpful. We felt comfortable and would come again. We hope that the renovation continues!
The location is great, the restaurant and bar were nice and the staff is helpful but the room we stayed in is pitiful. The bed was hard and the pillows were thick foam. The bathroom plumbing hardware is pulling out of the wall and the tub had 4 “wood bugs” crawling in it. Several were found in the floor. The staff offered another room but were dismissive of the bugs as if this is normal. They have signs saying that they are in the process of updating the property but I didn’t see any evidence. This place needs a serious makeover. Cottages, area around and the private beach mentioned on website seems not maintained for very long time. Cottage was too small, so if booking it for more than two people, it’s not a good option. Refrigerator was not working at all, after complain it was fixed in couple hours. Cottage windows net was broken, so bad option to open it at all, otherwise mosquitoes will not let you sleep whole night. So in other words bad choice for nice and warm weather.
Quite a pathetic stay at the so called Double Cottage of the beach resort. A shabby and horrible place to stay for 350 bucks for a night. The private beach of the resort has a lot of stones not suggestive for kids. TV in one room was not working, the floors were very noisy, the kitchen was dirty, and the BBQ was smelly. Will never stay in my life again here. Rooms: 1
A little expensive, but worth the price, the place is beautiful, the rooms, divided into various chalets, are welcoming and very spacious. The restaurant is just adequate, but in the average of these places, eating well is quite difficult. Very friendly and helpful staff. This property is avaolutely adorable and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! This was out first ever trip to Cape Breton and the staff definitely made it a warm and welcoming experience. On top of that, the cabin was beautiful and falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean was amazing. 10/10, thank you!! Service: 5 Reserva una mesa ahora
