"This has the potential to be an exceptional cafe with some tweaking of the decor and the creating of authentic French pastries and cakes. It does really well with the quiche and salad type of lunch, well prepared and well priced and is a popular place and the staff are friendly and efficient which is hard to find these days.
The coffee is the best I had this week! My friend said my eyes lit up after I took my first sip! A good sign."
THIS WAS PATHETIC!!!! IF I COULD GIVE YOU ZERO, I WOULD! With four men in the kitchen, still cleaning up, and two out front. I didn't even eat the food, the customer service was THAT poor!!! But what I could see of the patrons still eating, it was ****. PATHETIC! We were all but 5 minutes past the 2:30 chop off for lunch, on a Saturday!!! Which is pretty poor chop off time for such a day, and that is to say that I am a restaurant manager... All I wanted was a beer battered snapper, and they simply said no. But then to go onto push fries under my nose anyways, and push what seemed a stale Quiche Lorraine. Which is a little...

I'm not sure why some of the other reviewers had such bad experiences with Globe - we always enjoy our meal there and have been loads of times (it's just down the road for me). Portion sizes are good and great value for money. The cakes are gorgeous - so many to choose from and different to the usual, generic cheesecakes and carrot cake you get everywhere else. Coffee is good. They don't change their menu - that's probably the biggest gripe, as it would be nice to have a change now and again. Service can be a bit haphazard, depending on the day of the week (different staff on different days) but you can overlook that when the food is so nice. Try the Frenc...

Pedido en el mostrador para el almuerzo de hoy con mi colega, el almuerzo, especial de la tarta de queso de la calabaza y la cabra con ensalada por menos de $ 10 y una MAC larga recaudada. Ordered at the counter for lunch today with my colleague the lunch special of pumpkin and goat’s cheese pie with salad for under $10 and a long Mac topped up. Place was pretty busy with lots of people taking in the special. Food and drinks came out quickly. Coffee was good. Pie and salad were both a fresh healthy lunch. The Pie was not overwhelming with the goat’s cheese, although I would have liked a little more taste as I love goat’s cheese. Overall nice place for a quick bite with reasonable coffee for good price and friendly service.
Fui a cenar como grupo. Estaban ocupados pero todavía muchas mesas vacías. El servicio fue muy lento. Tomó un tiempo a recibir menús y luego para que se tomen las órdenes. Went for dinner as a group. They were busy but still many empty tables. The service was very slow. Took a while to be given menus and then for orders to be taken. We waited another hour from placing orders to our food arriving. I was ready to go to Hungry Jacks drive through. I had the scaloppine which was lovely but certainly not worth the wait. After mentioning about our extreme disappointment we were offered complimentary dessert which we took home. The apple crumble was hideous.
