Was seated in bar area despite the fact that the outside dining room had plenty of available space. Service was initially pleasant. Server took my order for salad, entree and drink. Salad was delivered within minutes. It was ok, but not up to the quality of previous meals here. I waited politely and patiently, for an hour, for entree to arrive. In existence and popular since at least 40 years this restaurant has certainly seen better times in its kitchen.It is still a cozy, warm and inviting place but the food quality has certainly not matured.We came for dinner but were not overly hungry as we had travelled the same day.My wife had a starter and as an intermediate a pizza. Which looked, smelled and tasted suspiciously like a slice of some ready made stuff from the supermarket. Apparently they even did not bother to add some toppings. i have been a customer of this bar and restaurant for the last 10 years. kitchen has always been good. it is more about the show. but the "sphere" is what you come for. florian is a very smart host (and georgous). he has got the perfect" work life balance " playing golf very early in the morning and working his butt of at night. his staff is wonderful. you should feel good in this place !
Food and drink are really excellent. The service is also top notch. The garden is also ideal for families with small children. The slide and the huge sandpit in the garden as well as the children's meal ensure a good mood for the little ones. In terms of price, even for Kampen, it is more in the upper range. I was positively surprised by the new interior design: modern yet extremely cosy and family-style atmosphere. The food excellent, but expect to pay accordingly. The only downside was the service, which was nice enough, but left us no time between the meals: We were done with 3 courses after approx. 1 hour...
Had a great lunch with family (6 people) at this place. We ordered different dishes to share and everything was delicious and tasty. The service was outstanding. We will be back soon!
