This is our favorite takeout spot close to home, especially since we stopped going to No. 1 on Roosevelt after it changed ownership. At Golden China, the staff is always friendly, and the food is prepared quickly! Last night, we ordered a couple of combo meals. The sesame chicken was outstanding—crispy and cooked just right, with plenty of sauce. My moo goo gai pan was also excellent, packed with vegetables. The rice was perfectly moist, which is a big plus, and I really appreciate the generous amount of fresh green onions they add. I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and was really impressed with how fresh and hot everything was. The Crab Rangoon was exceptionally crispy, with a perfect balance of crab and cheese. However, I found the General Tso's chicken to have a slightly gamey taste that I didn’t enjoy, and a few pieces didn’t contain any chicken at all, which seems to be a common issue in budget Chinese takeout. On a brighter note, the chicken in the Chicken Thai Fried Rice was tender and juicy, and it tasted much fresher than the General Tso's. I was a bit surprised that the Thai Fried Rice didn’t have any sauce and resembled plain white rice more than anything else, but it was still delicious!...

I found the Beef Lo Mein (46) to be the only worthwhile dish I tried. The General Tso's Chicken (C19) was quite tough, and the rice was undercooked. The Beef Fried Rice (39) also wasn't cooked properly. As for the Crab Rangoon (11), they were overcooked and the filling was dry. I won't be ordering from here again.

The bourbon chicken here is excellent, and when I requested that my daughter's shrimp lo mein be made without any vegetables due to her picky eating habits, they handled it perfectly. They even included some crispy noodles, which was a lovely touch! It was clear that they really put a lot of care into our order. Reserva una mesa ahora

The egg roll lacked flavor and had an oily aftertaste. The egg drop soup was rather bland, and the shrimp fried rice was also greasy. It seems like the quality of the food has declined; it was much better a year ago. I regret to say this because I used to really enjoy their food.

While nothing stood out as amazing, the noodles that accompanied the egg drop soup were quite stale and chewy, which really took away from the experience for me. The soup just isn't the same without fresh, crunchy noodles.

The bourbon chicken was dry, the crab Rangoon was overcooked and lacking in flavor, and the chicken wings were also fried for too long. I won't be ordering from there again.
