I would give a 0 but wouldn't let me. Decided to have a Chinese on a nice sunny evening however turned out to be the worst Chinese I have ever consumed. The date is 14th June 2022 The Salt pepper Chicken was so chewy it felt like I was eating a elastic band, Microwaved then deepfried. Absolute joke!.. I compare to other Chinese in the area it was the bottom of the rating, flavour was ok but worst chicken in the county 0 out of 5 The egg fried rice was yellow??...not fried.. no sign of oil..or..Egg!...0 out of 5 The veg in black bean sauce.. I have visited the golden dragon many times over the last 20 years. On this occasion I was eating alone, arrived at the restaurant where there were multiple tables free but told I could not eat there. The tables were not reserved but clearly the restaurant thought they would be more profitable if full rather than single occupancy. Noted on a recent Google review that they have stopped serving beer on tap, the peanuts left on each table to nibble on while deciding what to order have disappeared, hot flannels and pieces of orange are no longer provided after your meal. There is a definite squeeze to generate more profit at the expense of service and the niceties of eating out. Poor on so many...

Ordered a home delivery from golden dragon this evening,arrived on time and was hot but after that a disaster,prawn toast was soggy and tasteless probably microwaved, I chose beef in black bean sauce with chilli no taste whatsoever had better ping meals from farm foods it was that bad,daughter ordered a special curry but there was nothing special about it,sauce very watery again no flavour,best item was the crispy chicken but still not the best.first time I’ve used this restaurant and will most definitely be the last ,you expect much better for over £40 .Not impressed

Absolutly hiddious I can honestly say this I the blandest tasteless food I have ever eaten from a Chinese takeaway? The chow mein had no flavour at all and the salt and pepper chicken wings not even in batter or with salt and pepoer? Will definitely not use again a proper waist of money. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food here is always excellent but today we were blown away by our waiter. He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, I wish we knew his name as he deserves a pay rise! So nice to receive such a high standard of service. Many thanks from Antonia and Melissa

Haven’t visited the Golden Dragon for a long time as we had a couple of bad experiences, But tried again last night and the Service was Great,(they seem to have new staff, and the food was Delicious will definitely frequent the Restaurant again

Waited 2 hours for a takeaway which never arrived, paid online with uber eats and they thankfully refunded. By this point it was too late to order another takeaway. Very disappointed

Great little busy place for a good Chinese meal. Friendly staff, good food with plenty to choose from. Right in the center of Lancaster town.
