Golden Oak Pancake House

You won't be disappointed with a visit to The Golden Oak. We encountered a brief 10-minute wait for a table since the restaurant was busy, which is always a promising sign of a good meal ahead. Our server was pleasant and attentive. I opted for the Garden omelette made with three eggs, filled with tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini, spinach, green peppers, cheese, and onions, and it was absolutely delightful. It came with a choice of pancakes or toast, and I went with pancakes—definitely the right choice. We were looking for a good, Sunday morning breakfast spot, and Golden Oak Pancake House was exactly what we wanted. It was pretty busy, but he dining room is fairly large and seats a lot of folks. We had actually just left another breakfast place not far away because the weight was too long. When we got to Golden Oak, in spite of the number of people there, we only waited about 5 to 10 minutes. Additionally, service is extremely fast. For being as busy as they were, they were very attentive, and it didn't take long before we had our food. And the food is absolutely wonderful. Really great diner style breakfasts. Top notch breakfast joint!

Finally decided to stop in this morning for breakfast. OMG... I'M SO GLAD I DID!! THEIR PANCAKES ARE AMAZING!!! I ordered 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon, fresh fruit with coffee. Everything was delicious, plus they got my eggs exactly the way I like them! I was seated immediately even though they were packed and my waitress provided wonderful, friendly service! I will definitely be going back!

My family and I love coming here for breakfast. We always recommend this place to friends and other family too. It?s clean, and the staff is always friendly. We have never had a bad experience yet, and even when they are busy with every seat filled. The food is always so good, and fills you right up. Truly a good local breakfast place. Food was delicious, but a little under seasoned. I had the Market skillet, with over easy eggs. Perfectly cooked eggs. Service was a little sparse, but staff was very friendly. The layout seemed quite cramped. Decor could use an update or a good scrub, since most things seemed second hand or donated.

I believe this is a local diner in Swansea, IL. I was looking for breakfast before my flight home, and this place had excellent reviews. It's a straightforward spot with a simple menu that satisfies your hunger. I ordered pancakes with bacon and eggs, and it was okay.

A nice home style diner with a lot of seating so it's not super small or cramped. I really enjoyed our waitress, I wish I could recall her name but she wears a rhinestone covered mask. She was excellent and the whole table agreed. I would recommend!
