So a quick search of Tripadvisor and here we are at Golden Terrace.We went at 6.30 on a cold & wet Friday night. Parked outside the front door. The restaurant was reasonably quiet. We sat away from the front door and counter so I wasn't able to see how much take away business they did.The restaurant is licenced and BYO ($2 pp corkage) and there is a bottle shop next door.We were warmly greeted upon arrival (from reading other reviews this was Tan). BBQ chicken and Thai salads are awesome - generally the food we ordered came out real good. Parking is plenty, it's by the river, its nicely presented - its not fine dining but the nice family restaurant feeling is present. It's got a lot going for it and I do like the food. Only been there twice but its one of those places you don't just visit once. Value is so so... could be better, but not too steep either. My kids loved the pineapple fried rice - never had that one before, going back to have some more.. hopefully soon.
This restaurant attracts the locals especially on weekends. If you would prefer a more intimate dinner, then mid week is better. The food is great and the portion sizes are more than adequate. There are usually 3 x good bottles of wine on special for $20 each. The service is friendly. Take-away seems to be very popular.
Greeted by the Quirky owner 'Tan' your gastronomic journey begins. If you win his favour he might serve you his special Vietnamese spring rolls - divine. No matter what your choices, you will not be disappointed. Beautiful food, great service, friendly atmosphere. Licensed.

Favourite Chinese restaurant, by far. Worth the drive to Georges Hall for this gem. Generous servings, quality of food excellent. Open 7 days. I've been eating at Golden Terrace for over 10 years, Tan and his staff always take care of their customers.
I have been eating at this restaurant for now 7 years. I have never had a bad meal. Staff extremely helpful. Great delivery service. Owner always meets you and makes you feel welcome. All I can say eat up...
It is always a pleasant trip to this restaurant. While it is not necessarily the best Chinese food I've ever had, its great for a dinner out with family & friends. The food is tasty & the owner is lovely.
If you like Din Sum and you're in Sydney, you'll probably come across Din Tai FungIt's in a good location and the indoor/outdoor space is nice.
