Very good wine selection and the personnel is very competent at providing good suggestion and recommendations for wine combination. The personnel is highly professional, very friendly and very discreet and polite at the same time......it might seem that such a thing is obvious... and yet it is not to take for granted, frankfurt is full of gastronomy at good level but were the staff is not up to the task, or simply rude. Goldman is located in the Frankfurt Ostend sharing the entrance with the nice boutique hotel but does not belong to hotel. The room is nicely decorated with a bar on one side and open kitchen on the other. Service is accurate but slightly too official...in my opinion. We took terrine fois gras which was outside the regular menu just good, probably wouldn’t take it again there are many nicely looking starters in the menu next time will choose something else. For the main course I took steak wow! What a piece of meat. Superb quality, ideally grilled, seasoned. One of the best steaks I had in a very long time or even ever! Extremely arrogant stuff. They really don’t know how to behave with guests. The waiter all time shows that he is not happy you came. He brought one menu for a group of 4 people. And when we joked “you seem not very happy we are...going to order” he Arrogantly replied: “I M not asking for your estimation of what I seem”. This completely not welcoming service you receive at a Very pricy restaurant. I guess there are many restaurants around that can cook the same or better but cheaper. Prices are high because many hotel guests automatically come to eat there at least once. Or once, as it doesn’t deserve more. The whole advice is not to visit the restaurant until the manager or the owner teaches...

excellent service in this wonderful restaurant. eating was arranged and tasty on the high front. the wee were a little basic (for a preordered group dinner, although.) recommended.
