When we arrived, the place was quite empty, and it had a dated bar atmosphere that felt a bit nostalgic. I ordered a burger, which was decent but not particularly special; I've certainly had better elsewhere. We also sampled the cheese balls and wings, which turned out to be average—essentially standard bar fare. The drinks were fine as well. Service was attentive since we were the only patrons in the bar. Overall, it was an average experience. Our bill came to $60 for two burgers, cheese balls, eight wings, and two drinks. Just a heads up, they only accept cash, although there is an ATM on the premises.
Goldyberg's frustrates me. It offers some of the best burgers in all of Chicago, yet they never promote this themselves; you have to spread the word instead. The burgers are outstanding! Unfortunately, they don’t quite grasp the power of social media, which means people like us might not discover them. Let’s help keep these long-standing establishments alive by visiting, and maybe remind them to embrace social media so they can continue thriving for another 96 years, just like they have for the last nearly century!
I dined on the terrace and enjoyed fantastic service. The burgers were absolutely delicious! For me, a real indicator of a good restaurant is their ability to make my fries extra crispy, and they nailed it! My friends also had a great time. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I truly believe in supporting traditional family-run businesses.
One of my favorite spots in the FP area features a spacious terrace that's perfect for social distancing. They only accept cash, but there's an ATM nearby, and metered parking is available all around, making it easy to find a spot. If you're in the area, be sure to check out the Beacon Pub across the street; it's another hidden gem!

My wife and I visited for burgers, and I’m happy to report that nothing has changed. I used to come here with my dad from 1966 to 1969. We would walk up the street from our home every Friday night to enjoy burgers. It’s great to see that the place has remained the same, as it brought back some wonderful memories for me.
The location is quite straightforward. The drinks at the bar are served cold, and the burgers come on paper plates. They only accept cash. It’s a return to basics: if it’s not broken, don’t fix it! And by the way, the burgers are fantastic. Did I mention how great the burgers are?
They say you can't go wrong here, and they're spot on! I absolutely love this place—the food is amazing, and the staff is incredibly friendly! It's our favorite spot in the neighborhood.
I had the Tokay Burger, and it was well-cooked, delicious, and juicy. The bacon was excellent too! The service was friendly and quick.

The restaurant could benefit from some updates. The burger was decent, but since I don’t drink, I don’t think I'll be coming back.
The hamburgers are fantastic, and Mike is an incredibly helpful host.
