Good News Restaurant And Bar

We celebrated Mother's Day dinner at Good News and had one of the best meals we can remember. Despite the restaurant and bar being full, the staff was extremely attentive, friendly, and efficient. We all tried the lobster soup, which was the best we've ever had. The short ribs were cooked and seasoned perfectly, and beautifully presented. Thanks to the entire team, especially the hardworking cooks in the hot, busy kitchen who made our dinner perfect. We had a wonderful time, as always. It was a dinner and celebration to remember. Staff was very friendly. We were seated in the bar area (not by request) and it got pretty crowded in there and the bartender was the main waiter for every table as well as maintaining the bar! So not as responsive, but understandable. Food was verygood. Lots of choices for every appetite. I had the salmon, short ribs were enjoyed thoroughly by my better half. We alsoenjoyed the hummus and wok veggies. Cost was about $35 pp without alcohol.

Each time we visit this restaurant, it seems to exceed our expectations. The perogies were absolutely fantastic - so much so that I forgot to take a picture. We also shared the tuna melt, burger, and Mac and cheese, all of which were delicious. Pairing our meal with a few cocktails made for a truly enjoyable dinner experience. The service was great and overall, we spent around $50–100 per person for dinner.

Amazing food and I do not give out many five stars!!! Had oysters, and lamb meatballs. Lots of other interesting menu items I could have picked including vegan and veggie options. The mix of flavors was perfect with the lamb, feta, tomato sauce andeggplant and zuchini. Wine was delicious. Decor in bar was very artsy. This place is a real pleasure to visit. This restaurant is amazing. The service is exceptional and the food is unmatched. We began with the stuffed squash blossoms (highly recommend getting two orders). The salads were delicious and the entrees of salmon on cornbread and beef tenderloin with fresh corn pudding were outstanding. The drinks were just as impressive. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.

I've been here and it was amazing. It's been a while. But I want to go back and have the same dish. It was so good. I had the yuca mash and blue fish. I enjoyed it so much. They were kind and respectful. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone visiting or living in Woodbury. Thank You

The food at this restaurant is consistently outstanding! Their innovative dishes are a treat, and the desserts are simply delicious. The service is excellent, and the staff are always attentive. This is a great place for a nice dinner, with prices ranging from $50 to $100 per person.

I have visited this restaurant numerous times throughout the years and have never been disappointed. The New York strip steak with homemade onion straws and ketchup is absolutely delicious. It's always a delightful dining experience.

Sarah was an excellent waitress who made our dining experience truly enjoyable. She showed exceptional patience towards my family member who has dementia, and her service was top-notch.
