Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois

We went to this restaurant with some expectations. This brasserie is located in the most expensive hotel of Basel. We were welcomed very nicely and brought to a nice table with view on the river. The gentleman who took our order was great as well. So far so good. Aperitif was served after we did order our food. Bit strange. But they let us finish our glass before the first course came. Our young waitress which was clearly French and had apparently no good other language skills, was slow. We are here in the German part of Switzerland. And most customers around us were international guests. Service was very slow. We only heard complaints at neighbour tables as well. We chose cheese as a desert...

It was a great pleasure to eat in the brasserie. We chose the four course menu, which was very well prepared. From the service to the quality of the food, everything was perfect. Unfortunately, a star has to be deducted because the first course only arrived about 30-35 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately there was no greeting from the kitchen, as is usual. Maybe something has changed there. All in all, it was an interesting culinary experience, as you can easily see from the pictures. We definitely recommend the brasserie and would be happy to come back. We would like to thank you very much for the competent and detailed advice regarding the food and the accompanying wine or recommendation...

Tolle Lage, Freundliches kompetentes Personal. Die Suite war wumderschön und hatte einen tollen Ausblick auf den Rhein. Die Hotel Bar haben wir ausserordentlich genossen, tolle Getränkekarte. Das Essen war sehr lecker, kleine Auswahl aber für jeden etwas dabei. Kommen sehr gerne wiede.r

Die Aussicht von der Terrasse aus ist herrlich. Beim Afternoon Tea treffe ich selten gleichaltrige, dennoch liebe ich die Auswahl und halte mich da gerne auf. Kuschelige Wolldecken machen den Aufenthalt auf der Terrasse auch im Winter sehr angenehm. Reserva una mesa ahora

Had a Business dinner and we all were enjoying it. Starters range from beef tartar, smoked salmon, foie gras salad. Main: Wienerschnitzel, seafood risotto, fish and beef. We had some good wine. Service very professional and knowledgeable.
