I'm writing this review out of frustration this time. (3.16.2024) Great Lakes used to be my favorite restaurant for Chinese food. Now, it's hit and miss. We ordered 3 different meals for dinner, and all 3 meals lacked flavor. I also asked for fried rice instead of white rice, but they gave me white rice and charged me $1.00 extra for fried rice that I never received.I'm not sure what's going on lately, but the prices have gone up several times now, and the quality and portion size are not as good as before. I will still keep supporting Great Lakes, but they need to improve their food to what it used to be.
We used the restaurant's delivery service, which arrived on time and the food was HOT AND DELICIOUS! Everything was incredibly flavorful and fresh. The egg rolls were quite large, the noodles were tossed with nicely charred vegetables, and the fried rice was packed with great flavor. I highly recommend this place if you're in the southeast Grand Rapids or Wyoming area.
If you want to further support a local business, I suggest ordering through their website instead of using Uber Eats or similar services; you’ll have access to a wider selection of food options, making it a win-win situation!
Food was tasty no lie i googled this place and i thought ok let me try them out but then i get home see that they packed noodles at the bottom of the containers so that they didn't have to fill container i would have just rather they left boxes half full then to do that very
Consistently fresh and delicious Chinese food—definitely the best in town! My meals are always served hot, whether I choose pickup or delivery. The food and the staff never fail to brighten my day! Everyone who works there is exceptionally nice and friendly!

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area! You can't go wrong with the General Tso's chicken, sesame chicken, crab Rangoon, and the almond cookies! The customer service is fantastic as well!
Best Chinese food spot in town! Clean back rooms (I've worked here), fresh food and the best owners.I have eaten at other restaurants and none compare to Great Lakes Chinese.

Always has good Chinese! Love there egg rolls they have a nice buttery flavor and the crab cheese is amazing! Egg drop soup I like with more ingredients

Absolutely amazing for the price! The chicken fried rice, orange chicken and egg rolls are to die for! Would definitely recommend!
