Great Northern Hotel

We love the new Reno and the ambience is greatly improved. Somewhat limited menu - You can choose cook your own steak or get the chef to cook for a few extra $. Option of chicken or tuna or garlic bread for 'cook your own' has been lost in the refurb.We ordered entree and main off menu. Staff did not know what 'potstickers' were - despite the dumplings being listed as potstickers on the menu. After 40+ minutes we went to ask where our starter was.. we got told it was all nearly ready. Starter and main came out together- so mains went cold while we scoffed our starter as fast as poss. Esto definitivamente no es su arancel de pub de alta calidad. Literalmente, cocinas tu propia comida en la barbacoa !!! Incluso el pan de ajo que es raro. Puedes agregar tus propias salsas, y hay una barra de ensaladas. Recuerdo bastante que me recuerda a un poco de comidas de pub con los grandes padres cuando era niño, pero honestamente no sé cómo logré ir el mayor tiempo posible, sin el manejo de alimentos abiertos y el área de preparación para convertirse. Pollo cocinado en la misma parrilla en forma de bistec, las personas pueden duplicar las cucharas de salsa en carne cruda. Me encanta el concepto, pero lo encuentro un poco poco intestino.

This definitely isn't your upmarket pub fare. Literally you cook your own food on the BBQ!!! Even garlic bread, which is weird. You can add your own sauces and there is a salad bar. I quite like it reminds me a bit of pub meals with the grand parents as a kid but I honestly don't know how I've managed to go so long without getting sick with the open food handling and prep area. Chicken cooked on the same grill as steak, people maybe double dipping sauce spoons on raw meat. I love the concept but I find it a bit unhygienic.

En realidad, un hermoso jardín de cerveza (aunque salvamos a un amigo de la ira longitista en los arbustos en los arbustos en el atardecer) y el interior es cómodo en invierno. La comida necesita una revisión ... fría, directamente de los paquetes e inimaginativos. Pubs mucho mejor no muy lejos. Lástima. Pero tal vez las nuevas renovaciones mejoren.

Actually has a nice beer garden (although we did spot a long tailed fury friend in the bushes at dusk) and the inside is cozy in winter. Food needs an overhaul... cold, straight out of packets and unimaginative. Much nicer pubs not far away. Shame. But maybe new renovations will improve it.

Great for regulars but they don't like outsiders. They'll serve any, no matter how much they slur and stumble. Locals like to push in at the bar and pick fights. Inside the regulars like to cause problems, outside you get stuck with smokers

Portuguese spiced chicken burger - very bland, a bit dry - not spicy at all and it's $20! A fast food chain chicken burger is better. The staff here are lovely though.
