We have previously dined at Grill 225 and had an excellent experience; however, this meal was extremely disappointing! The server was excellent. The saffron steam mussels were over seasoned and extremely salty, but edible. We notified the server and he said he would let the chef know fine! The Lamb chops arrived we were so excited for good lamb! We were disappointed as they were super fatty and were inedible. Again we notified the server and asked to speak with a manager. We spoke with someone whom we were told was a manager who with our knowledge deducted the cost of the lamb chops (these were $78 $l0 more than a USDA prime fillet! this was al a carte all sides were additional! I've come here several times over the past months.... I stand at the check in station...multiple employees walk buy... never greet us... never tell us someone will be there shortly... we just stand there awkwardly waiting... the greeter just stands at the kitchen talking ...watching us... this has happened EVERY time... The bartender is not the most pleasant individual... yes... same one... 4 times The valets are not very interactive ... comes off as unpleasant Our server was great The food was very good We are foodies and go to all the downtown restaurants... you just might want to up your game a little... this is the south ... we like pleasant atmospheres
Exceptional service, atmosphere and the entire reason I’m posting this review is the food.! I had the seared sea scallops with mushrooms and leaks and a cherry brandy reduction sauce. I can honestly say, they were the best scallops I’ve ever had. Melted in your mouth and all the flavors just worked. My husband had the rib eye steak which was equally delicious!! I highly recommend this amazing restaurant in Charleston, SC. You won’t be disappointed. Shout out to a wonderful server Ben!
The rooftop bar has a great view and a nice menu! The food in the restaurant is delicious with a bread basket, salads, seafood, and steaks. The service was good but has room for improvement. The feel/atmosphere is a little pretentious. Overall, I would go back again, especially to the rooftop bar.

Exceptional in every way!! Jimmy Goings is exceptional and made this dinner special in every way. Gerald made the most amazing bananas Foster table-side. The entire meal was perfect and we can't wait to return.
Ignore their guidelines for proper attire. Most people came in casual and we even saw a guy in tattered jean shorts. Food was underwhelming. Steaks over salted. So many better restaurants at this price point.
Grill 225 always exceeds our expectations. No need to travel overseas to Celebrate any occasion, and enjoy the most delightful meal with a 5 star service. Is the best option in this town ?

We ate at the bar, Clark was the best. The food was awesome, maybe a little salty for some but I liked it. I had the 6oz felet with 7oz lobster.
Great food and fantastic service. Prices are expensive but hey it's downtown. My steak was cooked to perfection.
