Visited Grind Into Gear as my partner and I had recently moved around the corner and wanted to start trying out the local breakfast places. After having a look at the menu everything seemed reasonably priced and interesting.I ordered the pulled pork roll (approx $9) which was wonderfully spicy and dripping in sauce. Great for someone who doesn't normally like overly eggy breakfast food such as myselfMy partner ordered the eggs Benedict, which has several options including a salmon gravlax and a ham. So many times we go to Cafes that use such wonderful ingredients, get the eggs cooked to perfection, then ruin the whole thing with bottled/packet hollandaise sauce! It was SUCH a relief to see G...

Grind Into Gear (GiG) isn't bad, however there are three other choices in Stanmore that are so much better. I think if there was less competition, GiG would be in that 3-4 star range, but with Kaldibaah, Little Mule and Paper Cup all within 500 meters walking distance, it's a tough crowd - so to speak.We have been three times in the past three months and overall the service is friendly enough, however there is no cooked breakfast and the coffee has the weakest consistency compared to three alternatives I mentioned above. The coffee is not weak, more in that mid-range and for many, this might be enough, however as I like my coffee strong, I find myself asking for three shots to get that kick....

Being a Stanmore local I've tried all the cafes in the area, and this one takes the cake. Grind Into Gear serves consistently excellent coffee and the friendly service always make you feel welcome. The food is always made fresh and is top tier quality at a decent price. Special events like Degustation's and Oktoberfest celebrations make it feel alive and exciting. It's clean, tidy, spacious, and puts an emphasis on comfort and service with a classical touch, rather than trying to be a trendy hole in the wall. There's no pretense here; just great product, great service, and wonderful atmosphere.

One of our local treasures. Paul and the team always have a smile and time to have a great chat. The food is consistently lovely and full of flavour with Paul and chef making changes every now and then as well as changing it up a gear when a special day is to be celebrated! The coffee is amazing and my favourite is the draught coffee.... cold and draw from a keg it's subtle yet changing flavour as it warms up is just amazing. We go no where else for brekky or lunch and will be for dinner if / when that can happen! We have been going now since the opened and will continue to support them. Reserva una mesa ahora

Passing through the inner west suburb of Stanmore we came across this cafe. With a small choice of different such places, this one looked bright, clean and friendly. Greeted by friendly staff with whom we had a brief chat we had 2 coffees and toast with jam. we found the whole experience excellent, the price was resaonable, the toast and jam perfect and the coffee very good. we also bought the coffee book as a present for our daughter and other interesting items are also for sale. We are happy to endorse Grind Into Gear.

My first visit to a cafe in Stanmore was a pleasant surprise, as there were four options just outside the railway station exit. The food was delicious and affordable, the coffee was excellent, and the orange juice portions were generous. The restroom was clean and accessible for those with disabilities. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Despite not being a fan of hipster coffee culture, I enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it to others.

This cafe in Stanmore is the best for sit-down dining. We had never noticed this place before and had been ignoring our own neighborhood until we discovered this charming family-friendly gem. Treat yourself and go somewhere else, and let me enjoy some peace and quiet here!

Went for breakfast. Coffee was ok, but the waitress had the flu and kept sneezing into the juice she was making (for me) and all over the plates of food she brought us. The place was empty but for one other table. Food was below average. Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant offers great coffee that is ethically sourced. It's a perfect spot for a late breakfast. The staff is delightful, the menu is well-thought-out, and the prices are reasonable. The space has a nice, roomy feel to it.

This cafe serves amazing single origin coffee-I received Ethiopian. The flavour was fantastic. The service was very friendly. Out of the way but recommended.
