Went to the Groton Station House Restaurant with my wife early on a Saturday. Had a cocktail at the bar, then into the dining room for dinner. Very nice room, lighter woods, not noisy, but energetic. I had the wild mushroom torte as an app, followed with a special (monkfish, with a spicy sauce, with smoked shrimp, and mussels). My wife has the scallops app, then the duck for dinner. She very much enjoyed her meal, scallops were large and nicely cooked, and her duck was perfect. My torte was great, very flavorful. The only critique i would make is rather than having 3 'fingers ' of puff pastry, a square of pastry under and/or over the mushrooms would have improved the look a bit. The monkfish...
We went as a family for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t know what to expect, and I was impressed by the amazing staff and their attention to detail and how they catered to our every need. From the hostesses to our exceptional server, Zane, we had a fantastic dining experience. I have been telling all of my friends to try Groton Station House. The evening began with complimentary chocolate covered strawberries. My husband and I had the duck breast, and it’s the best we’ve ever had. We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The cocktails were great like the appetizers. My main course was the more blazing chicken and while the chicken and the broccolini were pretty good, I must say that I did not for the strength side that came with the dish as standard. It was completely tasteless and had absolutely no taste. Service was great and the ambience is classic. I'll come back, but maybe some more for dinner next time.
The atmosphere is lovely. Comfortable chairs, tasteful decor, and inviting bar. Our waitress was engaging, thoughtful and funny. We had the calamari for our appetizer and it was delicious. However our main meals lacked seasoning. My husband had the steak frites and the steak was bland. My son had the duck and said it needed more seasoning. I had the mushroom ravioli which I enjoyed very much.

The food was very good but it took a long time to arrive. The restaurant was hosting a function upstairs was the reason for the delays we were told. This is a nice restaurant and should ensure better coverage and service to its dining customers when hosting an event.
Nice place, formerly a fire station. I tried the appetizer crab cake, deree cod and drink old-fashioned, desert cream brulee. Food is great. Our group was mainly vegetarian and the staff accepted all our wishes. Live music added to the charm.
The service was amazing and the food was good. The ambiance was a bit off due to the really loud guy sitting next to us but the staff was more than accommodating and let us move to another table. We will be back!
Food was good, not great. Crab cakes very good. Sole a bit under cooked. Pricey for what you get. More likely to go back in warmer weather when we can sit outside for a few beers and appetizers.

Overall our dining experience was excellent. Service was a little slow but we weren't in a rush so it was fine. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice.
Can’t say enough good things. Every aspect from the service to the food was excellent from the minute we walked in.
