We went there to enjoy a local food event that spans several restaurants (Rassegna Gastronomica), awaits some decent Covid protection measures. One would assume that people would know better at the end of October 2020. It wasn't the case. People were very close to each other: a table with 18 people, another with 14 people. Distance between people at tables probably 60cm, distance over tables not more than 1 m (generated). Menu cards were the usual boxes that go from table to table and further increase the risk of scatter. we were for a night in como and have eaten here too night. the pasta was very tasty, the portions sufficiently large. the staff was very friendly, there was also a day card with arranged to choose. the restaurant also offers a very large selection of pizzas. what was served on the side tables also looked very delicious. here many local eaten - due to its location you will not find the restaurant otherwise by coincidence. for guests of the neighboring hotel del tiglio there is 10% discount.
We had a late lunch at the Grotto del Tiglio; after a wine tasting at the neighbouring winery Castello di Cantone (a top Ticino wine producer!). We had a nice dish with fish, grilled vegetables and rice; and a fantastic homemade apple cake for the desert. The white Merlot was very delicious. All at a very fair price. We recommend this Grotto; it is worth a detour! Thanks for the Grappa!
