Grunbergalm - Reservar una mesa

It was a drizzly day but it was nice to sit inside and have some hearty Austrian food with a pleasant view. It would have been better if the owner etc had not been smoking inside however the rooms are big enough that it does...not cause too much unpleasantness. The choice of food is not massive, being on a chalkboard movable sign, but there was enough variety so that all our party got something they wanted.

Eine urige Stube, eine Terrasse mit Blick über den Traunsee, gutes Essen und freundliche Wirtsleut laden zum Einkehren auf den Gmundner Hausberg. Leider ist zur Zeit die Seilbahn nicht in Betrieb, so dass man entweder zu Fuß oder per Fahrrad den Berg bezwingen muß.

Von der Grünbergalm sehr schöner Ausblick. Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn es am Vortag geschneit hat, dass zumindest ein schmaler Weg von der Bergstation der Seilbahn zum Gasthaus freigeschaufelt wäre.

The view from this restaurant is lovely especially if it's possible to sit outside. The inside has a nice rustic feel and the food is good as well. Self-ordering but food is brought to the table.
