"we parked in willerzell (near the campsite) and went from there in the mountains/walks. the walk to the restaurant lasted about an hour (it is a little less than a kilo). the winery was not good at this day it was quite...cold grad), so we were really excited to get some warm and not disappointed: for very fair prices we got some delicious hot suppe and beautiful sausage accompanied by much brot exactly what we needed. I could imagine that this place is very crowded when the weather is in order, but apart from the (quite small) room inside there is also a terrace with a lot of space and a very nice view over the mountains and on the lake."

Die Bergwirtschaft Gueteregg erreicht man nur zu Fuss - von der Sattelegg her, von der Etzel-Passhöhe (St. Meinrad) oder vom Vorderberg her. Sie ist ganzjährig geöffnet und Freitags geschlossen. Wir besuchen sie im Winter oft am Sonntagmorgen (kurze leichte Schneeschuhtour von der Sattelegg her); wenn man gegen elf Uhr dort ist, findet man problemlos Platz (bei warmem Wetter im Freien, sonst drinnen). Und ab elf Uhr morgens gibt es das Gueteregg-Fondue! Aber auch im Sommer, zu Fuss oder mit dem Mountainbike, ist die Gueteregg stets einen Ausflug wert. Die Familie Schönbächler bedient ihre Gäste stets freundlich und geduldig, selbst wenn es drunter und drüber geht. Und die Preise sind mehr al...
