Came here for our first time after visiting the Sacramento Capitol building around 11:30. The reviews on Yelp as well as friend recommendations led us here and we were not disappointed! I've heard that this place normally has quite the line, but we were lucky to come during non-peak hours to plenty of parking, no lines, and still good amounts of seating outside. Upon entering, I loved seeing how Gunther's still had that vintage ice cream parlor feel with mint green colors, and old school tiled floors, and the old school menus up top. They had a ton of different treats inside their glass freezers, and so many ice cream flavors to choose from. There is a pick up/to go line to the left as well...
This is a local favorite spot for ice cream. I was visiting relatives in sac. This is a must have for something sweet. Always a long line and all the tables are always taken so you know it's a good hangout spot during warm weather. We ordered half and half of guava ice with peach ice cream and mango ice on the bottom. We also got mango ice cream with mango ice and a cup of coffee ice cream. Every flavor is so good! This is the best place for ice cream and they never disappoint!
Very fast service and generous portion! The vanilla ice cream is milky and creamy. The fruit freeze tastes very fresh and not water down at all. My favorites are the strawberry and orange. There are plenty of tables outside and it's perfect for any warm days!
We ordered all ice cream treats. They were packaged well to keep them all cold. The order was correct and not one of them melted on the drive over thanks to the thoughtful planning that went into it. Her other deliveries were not very close to where we live.

What a find! We drove 21 miles and the homemade ice cream has not disappointed! My child had the bubble gum taste and I had a 1scoop sunshade. The butterstone is the best I ever had! Loves this place and comes back when I am near downtown Sac!
I love Gunther's Ice Cream! It is so delicious and amazing. I have been enjoying this ice cream since I was a child. My family has been visiting Gunther's since the 1960s.
This restaurant serves amazing ice cream! The pineapple coconut flavor and strawberry cheesecake are must-try options. The Oreo pie on a stick is also a fun treat to try.
The delivery is consistently well-packaged and includes all the items I order. I also love the delicious creamy ice cream served here.

Classic ice creamery! Quick service and great flavor for each scoop we had. Defs want to visit again for one of their fruit freezes.
The ice cream is always delicious. Creamy and doesn't melt very fast so by the time I receive it, it's still in a solid state.
