Entered the building and felt welcomed from the staff. Our attendant Morgan gave us her suggestions and her recommendations. Choose the famous hot chicken with Mac and cheese and potato salad. The hot chicken didn’t disappoint but the MAC AND CHEESE was FIRE!!!!! Potato salad was sweet so there’s that. I also ordered the catfish plate. Received 3 pieces of fish with beans and coleslaw. The fish was delicious and the slaw was on point. The beans were really good. Although I thought the catfish plate was a bit expensive…I wouldn’t get again unless they lower the price. The chicken is HELLA GOOD so I’ll pay for that.
This restaurant is quite pricey—$60 for 12 pieces of chicken and two small sides is outrageous. I won't be returning. The chicken lacked spice and flavor; it felt bland. The clientele seemed to be older individuals who may not appreciate bold seasonings or tastes. I can't recommend paying their high prices for such basic food. Honestly, KFC and Church’s taste better, and I don't even think twice about those places. While the customer service was good, the food just doesn't cut it for me.
Wow… amazing chicken. My family and I love eating all the time from Gus. The chicken is fresh and tasty. My favorite the fried okra. My hubby LOVES their cole slaw. What can I say, best best chicken ever tasted. Let’s not talk about the chicken only. Props to Shelby!!! Fantastic customer service from her. Amazing attitude. She is great with their customers. Will keep on eating from Gus. Many thanks to all the staff as well. Keep on doing the great job.
First time visiting here, staff was friendly. Food was excellent. Just the right amount of crisp, flavor and juicy. Macaroni and Cheese is flavorful and robust, Cole slaw was just the right amount of sweetness, cool and refreshing. Absolutely Amazing. I Highly recommend stopping by here!

Gus’s never lets me down. The macaroni and cheese is to die for and so is the fried okra. They also have fried fish if you didn’t know and it is amazing also. There are multiple locations located throughout the city.
Loved it. Friendly staff, fast amazing customer service. It was our first time eating here and the girl at the front was so nice and gave me her recommendations. The food was hot fresh. Definitely will be back!
Such a great location. Best service I’ve had in a long while. I very one was very friendly but especially our waitress Charollte. Definitely request her every time.
