If you’re looking for salty, greasy food done vegan, a solid beer selection, metal, and absurd Halloween decorations, GWARBar is the place for you! The food is really good for what it is (don’t expect to find a vegetable on the menu unless it’s been deep-fried) and the staff friendly. It’s a fun, funny environment and a great place to grab a drink and something to eat in Richmond.

I had the seitan nuggets I believe they’re called seitan’s balls on the menu) they were chewy and overcooked. I think it they were more uniform in shape they would have cooked more evenly, the taste of the wheat gluten is also very present they could have spent more time soaking in the stock. The mushroom tots were good , you can’t really go wrong with tots.

I order the Hail Seitan every time and it just gets better and better. It's a BBQ sandwich topped with onion rings and hot sauce. They also have incredible french fries. One of the best vegan meals the city has to offer.

very delicious, but very heavy and missed the brand on the ranch imo. the ranch tastes more like Alfredo sauce. cauliflower tacos met a run for my partner.

Excellent service. Really friendly alot on their bar menu! Did the Gwartichoke Burger it was messy delicious. Worth the stop if you love music dive bars
