I really do not understand how this place has over 4 star reviews, and how it’s still in business. To start I had to call multiple times so they answer the call. Second it’s extremely loud to the paid that I can’t even hear myself talk. Customer service is mediocre at its best. Now to get to the food. I paid $88 for a Botana for 4 people. Words do not describe the disappointment that came to me when I got home and saw the garbage I just purchased. The owners should be ashamed of themselves for the quality of food they serve and still charge premium. I received a gift certificate to dine at this restaurant about 5 years ago and used it on a night when they had live music featuring a Trio that was absolutely amazing. It quickly became one of my favorite places. I have since moved to Denver, Colorado but have heard that the talented Mark Alvarez has joined the restaurant staff. I am looking forward to coming back for Sunday Brunch and to see the Mark show. This is definitely one of the best places in McAllen!
I was totally unaware that one of our items charged us $31.95. We do not speak Spanish. I'm talking about the Parillada San Miguel which cost $31.95. I didn't even see that amount anywhere on the menu and I don't think any of the 4 items on our receipt would warrant that amount. However, all the food and service was excellent.
I ordered fish ceviche, but when they brought it out, they said they didn't have any fish and gave me shrimp ceviche instead. However, a ceviche without lemon just doesn't taste right. To make matters worse, they served it to me on a chipped plate, which was unappetizing. Overall, I was not satisfied with my experience.

I am visiting from New England and was able to eat at Hacienda which was not a disappointment! The wait staff was very attentive and provided excellent service. I ordered choriqueso and fajita de res, OMG it was the most tender and flavorful meat! A definite must try, just leave some for me ?
Food not pleasant. The rice has a lot of salt and the cheese enchiladas have a salty cheese as if it were cheddar. The chicken broth with shredded chicken has nothing to do with it. And the incredible prices for the food. I'm not coming back. I wouldn't even eat here for free.
The waiters here are very rude. The restaurant was empty and they were complaining and making comments about where we sat and that we would have been better off sitting at the bar. We will not go to this place again.
Had dinner on a Saturday, it was busy as they had karaoke and it was mother's day weekend. Ordered tacos al carbon. The beef was just ok, it was not a wow meal. Service was good despite it was busy.

The waiter was very friendly and polite, I asked for something natural and with low sugar and she underwent my fresh lemonade with low sugar. It was delicious!!!
Our breakfast botana plates were very good and service was excellent. Everything was delicious?
