I was a bit surprised by the positive reviews. Despite the somewhat unimpressive dining area, the food itself could definitely use some improvement. Haldi claims to specialize in Southern Indian cuisine, but most of the dishes we tried were excessively spicy and too sweet. I understand that this is typical of Southern Indian/Hyderabadi cuisine, but the balance between the chiles and sugar was completely off in every dish we ordered. We might give them one more chance just to try their biryani, which should be a standout dish, but otherwise, we will be returning to our favorites: House of India (first choice) and Royal Taj (a distant second).
Amazing Food! We tasted food from Haldi restaurant at a couple of occasions and decided to get food catered from Haldi restaurant in Elkridge, MD, for our House Warming. The service was exquisite . We were pleasantly surprised. The taste of the dishes were delicious and the dishes themselves were authentic. Unlike other restaurants where all the gravies taste the same, the food tasted wonderful and all our guests were so happy and were inquiring about the food. We would definitely recommend Haldi as your place to go for awesome Indian Food
I ordered food for a party and was extremely pleased with the quality and flavor of the biryani, shrimp, and chicken gravies. A special mention goes to the vegetable rice I received as a complimentary item—it was delightful! The kids enjoyed the food as well, which is always a plus. Keep up the great taste and quality!
Our new favorite takeout spot! We ordered for lunch and loved it so much that we decided to order again for dinner. I highly recommend the Gobi Manchurian and the Goat Biryani (available on weekends)! Don't forget to try a Mango Lassi as well. We can't wait to dine in soon!

We ordered takeout for the first time tonight and absolutely loved the shrimp moilee and nilgiri chicken kurma. The sauce for the shrimp reminded me of a Thai curry, which I really enjoyed. The menu is extensive, and I can't wait to try more dishes!
The restaurant is beautiful, and the food is outstanding. The presentation and plating are truly impressive. Plus, the service is fantastic!

The food was stale from the previous day's buffet, which was quite disappointing. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
Tried this spot already with a friend and I am addicted since then. I like the excellent ambience and tasty food and drinks. Kudos.
