Halls Harbour Lobster Pound

Absolutely the worst chowder we have ever had. First impression was 'this looks like paste ' and that 's pretty much what it tasted like. There were no identifiable pieces of fish of any kind in it. It was absolutely tasteless. It was sent back and traded for clams which were a little better. The scallop basket, which was over $20 consisted of 11 pieces of scallop that did not even smell like seafood. This was a complete shame because Halls Harbour was the only reason we left Truro this morning. We will visit Halls Harbour again. We will never eat there again. I will say this.... the staff was EXCELLENT. They replaced the chowder without any sort of disagreement and were incredibly friendly...

I had the lobster dinner today, and it was fantastic. The meal was delicious and expertly prepared. We were also very impressed by the attention to detail in maintaining social distancing and ensuring everyone's safety. The staff wore face shields, allowing us to see their smiles. This was our first time dining in a restaurant since the start of Covid-19, and our experience was wonderful.

I was very disappointed with our Father's Day seafood experience. From the calamari appetizers to the seafood platter, the entire meal was unsatisfactory. Everything was overcrowded, and each dish had a similar taste. Our food even arrived before our drinks. While the renovations are impressive, the meal didn't meet the high standards I expect from this restaurant.

We had dinner here a few weeks ago. What a wonderful experience! Dinner was amazing best lobster ever! Low tide was as awesome as I thought it would be. Loved seeing the boats on the ocean floor. Watching the sun set on the Bay of Fundy was absolutely spectacular. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! Hope to be back soon!

We have been to this establishment several times and are never disappointed with the food and portions. They even provided lobsters for my daughter’s wedding last year for 80 people at a different venue. Despite the challenges everything was perfect.

Right next to the water and easy ordering with a peaceful home cooking atmosphere. The lobster bisque. Quick walking to the local sites and parking.
