Been here a few times and it just gets worse and worse. Really wanted to like this place but it's just terrible.Food their rice is either from the previous day or they don't know how to prepare it properly. Way. Over. Priced. The meat is meh.. and it is cheaper and better quality if you pick it up at some Japanese market and eat it at home since you have to cook it yourself either way.Service what service? It's like these people bring their problems to work or don't want to be there. Were constantly ignored when asking for service. I don't smell that bad do I?Half the service, half the quality.... fits their name quite well.Did I mention they are way overpriced?

A little out of the way if you live around Irvine like me, but the food quality was worth the drive. We went around 8pm on a Saturday evening, was not crowded and we got seated immediately.Went with an order of halves (beef toro 3-meat-combo), satisfied with the meat quality as well as portion.Only slight complaint was that my friend found a fly in her soup after she's thrown in all her meat, likely from one of the veggies. When she told the server about this, they were quite stingy about replacing the whole meat plate...Overall positive experience, recommend.Halves

Great atmosphere and food. Gave it a 4 star because it was more if a fusion food instead of authentic shabu shabu/yakiniku. Having said that, still a great experience. The A5 wagyu was delish! Had the halves ribeye shabu and A5 grill meat with spicy tonkatsu broth.
