The price per person ranged from $50 to $100, which I felt was reasonable given the quality of the food and the overall experience. I highly recommend trying the Hot Pot; it was flavorful and enjoyable. The Halves were also a standout dish that shouldn’t be missed. Overall, a delightful dining experience that I would gladly revisit!

The food at Halves is fantastic, featuring high-quality meats and fresh vegetables. However, the atmosphere is lacking for the price you pay. I'd love to return, but the date night menu prices don’t match the ambiance of a nice restaurant. I wish they would enhance the comfort, perhaps with better seating. We ended up spending $120 (including tip) for two people, which included the Halves menu and one drink each. Service was for dine-in.

I visit this restaurant as a special treat with my husband or cousins. The A5 wagyu is a definite must-try. They have a great selection of dishes while still maintaining high quality. The staff is consistently accommodating and friendly. It can get pretty crowded, so be prepared to wait in line. The inside can also get a bit warm. Overall, the food is absolutely delicious, and we always leave feeling full and satisfied!

Great atmosphere and food. Gave it a 4 star because it was more if a fusion food instead of authentic shabu shabu/yakiniku. Having said that, still a great experience. The A5 wagyu was delish! Had the halves ribeye shabu and A5 grill meat with spicy tonkatsu broth. This place was fantastic! We had Shabu tonight, but they also offer a grill for an amazing BBQ experience right at the table. The Wagyu is a bit disappointing, but you can't go wrong with their signature NY strip and Black Angus ribeye. Be sure to try the Japanese roasted chicken appetizer—it's the best you'll find anywhere!

What a fantastic concept! Both shabu and japanese BBQ at the same time. The quality of the meat and veggies was great. They had some really tasty dipping sauces that worked we with both the shabu and the jbbq. Our server was very accommodating and we had an overall great time. I will definitely come back soon ?

MUST TRY! A hidden gem in Lake Forest! They have quality meats, great service and so much food for halves. We received vegetables and noodles for the boil and grilling. Will definitely be coming back.
