We usually enjoy this place when we dined in but on our recent experience we had ordered UberEats as a goodbye dinner. They had gotten our order mostly right but they had given us two orders of mixed tempura we did not order and did not give us one main we had ordered. That main was for the person going away.We called the restaurant to explain that our order was incomplete but they became defensive and just told us that it should be correct because they saw it packed. I have tried sushi at various restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area, and this particular location definitely deserves recognition. The ingredients are consistently fresh, the menu options are fantastic, the service is good, and you can tell that there is great care and attention to detail. A sign of a good restaurant is when everything runs smoothly, the staff are in good spirits, and the customers are happy. It is evident that the chefs put a lot of effort into meal preparation. Overall 3.5Prices are slightly higher than what I would anticipate but quality is decent. Their salmon was at a good temperature and rolls had good ratio of filling to rice.Tempura was nicely battered and fried. Not overly oily which is good. I got the salmon lover combo which I do wish they had more variety in terms of what you get for the combos, but I guess that's the point of them too lolNice spacious seating as well. Not too crowded. Rev. Aug. 29/23. New sushi chef. SHE is fantastic! +1 star. Congratulations, eh.I've been giving this tiny place my business since well before the pandemic. Their offerings are fresh and they know how to slice and dice sashimi. Give them a try!Parking: You'll be competing with the other patrons (as Hamaru is in a tiny plaza). If you get frustrated with the lot, park around the side!

The service was very slow. We got our miso soup 10 minutes after we order. But had to wait 45 minutes before we got any food. No apology for the wait. Very greasy tempura and vegetable Couldn't get ice for our water but quick giving us our bill to pay.
