The only downside is that parking can be difficult—you may need to make a few laps or park a few blocks away and walk. However, it's definitely worth it for the delicious food you'll be enjoying. North Shore has truly impressed me with the hidden culinary gems on this side of the lake, and Hambone has become the highlight of our brunch adventures with my group of eight friends. We gladly make the drive across the Causeway knowing it will end with satisfied appetites and cherished memories at Hambone. We were seated in the very back room and it was so insanely hot. There were no fans that could’ve made our visit more comfortable. On top of that we waited over an hour for our food to arrive. When it finally did come the waitress said that our wait was because of an 8 top that came in right before us. As if somehow that would make our wait acceptable. My husband’s food was stone cold. We didn’t send it back because we were worried about how long it would take to fix the situation. We’ve dined here before and had a great experience…this one just wasn’t. Granted it was Father’s Day so it was busy….but they were seating too many people for how backed up the kitchen was.

We love Hambone. It’s definitely nice people working there. The building is cute on the inside, but the outside seating is the bigger plus. There’s a good amount of vegetarian options for the area, and fun specials on the regular. I always get the chip and dip it’s like a lima bean ‘hummus’ but there’s something about it, plus the plantain chips ? also pictured: remy sandwich, mac and cheese, tomato sandwich, cinnamon roll, “chocolate bar” special (incredible), cocktail flight, and a satsuma salad special (whipped feta, char pickled cauliflower, buttermilk citronette… so good)

This is a very quaint and hidden gem in Mandeville. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food is great and the server is very knowledgeable. Food came out hot and fast. Very flavorful we had the smoked wings , fried chicken with grits and the Steak and eggs.Wings Amazing Flavor,lovedFried Chicken Great , I loved the crispy skin I added a side of the grits and the grits were great very creamy and flavorful.Steak and Eggs were great not a big fan of over easy eggs and the sauce for the creamed collards was very salty but not a bad plate wish I had a bit more Steak on it. We come for brunch a few times per year. When it’s peak summer like now the only place to sit is indoors! It was comfortable and cool inside. We had the fried boudin appetizer and it was delicious though 3 pieces it is quite rich so I’d recommend sharing. I had the ranch water and love the way they make it here (simple but refreshing, good lime flavor). The tomato panzanella small plate is a good portion and tasty. My husband likes the 2 egg breakfast with grits and bacon. The service was friendly and attentive.

Delicious food made with high-quality ingredients, and it seemed to be prepared and served with a lot of care. The restaurant is quite kid-friendly, featuring a fenced-off front area with games and plenty of space for children to play, making it ideal for a family outing. While the indoor space may be a bit cramped for kids, it’s absolutely perfect to dine outside when the weather is nice.

This is a fantastic place in Mandeville! I really enjoyed the spacious outdoor area, but what impressed me even more was the incredibly friendly staff and the delicious food. Everyone we spoke with was personable and welcoming. The tomato sandwich was outstanding. I will definitely come back!

The food and service are phenomenal. We love this little gem in mandeville. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it is sooooo uncomfortably hot inside the building.....they need fans in the rooms or maybe window units. Sweating while eating wasn't fun.Food: 5/5 Reserva una mesa ahora
