Hanaoka Japanese

Found my new favorite sushi restaurant! Fantastic customer service, we were immediately greeted and seated. The ambiance was nice with good music and a great environment. The sushi was delicious and FRESH! I had a tuna spicy mexican roll and a tropical mango roll. The rolls where big in size and quite affordable in comparison to other sushi restaurants I have been too. The tuna and salmon literally melted in my mouth... soooooo delicious! I usually order a hand roll but I didn't because it was too much food. I was stuffed with just two rolls! However, next time I will get a hand roll because they look delicious! I saw a server taking several hand rolls to a table near us and let me tell you, the hand rolls look HUGE. They are the biggest hands rolls I've ever seen! EVER! I would say double the common size. My hubby had chicken yakisoba and it didn't disappoint. Overall, super happy with our experience. Don't worry about parking because there is plenty at the plaza! 10/10 REALLY recommend!

Spent 31 years in the military, lived in Japan for one year, lived in Guam for two years (Hawaii West for the Japanese honeymoon) and countless times in Hawaii and other places that have a large Japanese population (either about residences or tourists). For a cost-loss quality Hanoka cannot beat! I'm sure if you double the costs you can get a 5% improvement, but this is also debatable. Whether from the sushi bar or a cooked meal, the food is authentic, well prepared, properly presented and all at a more than reasonable cost for what you are provided. I have been a customer since 1985/6 when they were only a small “hole in the wall” – and have now expanded to take all the companies right to the original location. If you are still indecisive, you know that when JAL flew in and out of San Diego Airport, the crew would always sit on a table in Hanaoka.

I can't beat the prizes here. very cheap for sushi. the rolls were moderate and thus the price. not to appreciate that the service here the feeds and drinks were placed just at the end of the table. the entire inner of the place is very down. tap the seats to cover holes

This is my place to eat sushi, staff is kind and helpful dinner. Quality of food is excellent. Very recommended.

Fish entree was ok. Sushi was? AMAZING. Stuffed jalapeño appetizer was really good as well. Great service.
