We visited the Hanneshof while staying in Filzmoos and were greeted by a very friendly young lady who spoke excellent English. When she seated us she told us that they were using a limited menu because they were between winter and summer season. They had English menus but only the full menu so she gave us and English menu and German limited menu and helped us patiently choose our dinners. She felt bad but It was kind of fun trying to guess the words in German. We were served pike/ perch, salmon steak, and sliced turkey. The meals came with bread, pasta, or vegetables. All the dishes were prepared very well and were excellent. Service was fast and friendly, portions were very nice sized, not to small to leave you hungry but not filled with sides that filled you up. Price for this quality and quantity of food was excellent. Nothing over 16 euros. Total bill for the 3 of us was 50 euros. I would consider this a 4 star place based on service, food quality and presentation, and atmosphere. Beautiful place, very Austrian mountain decoration, but still very elegant. I would like to eat here again and taste some of their other menu items.
A great place to have traditional Austrian food. The standard of food in Filzmoos is so high that if it was anywhere else this restaurant would have been given 5 stars!The young waitress that greeted us and then served us throughout was extremely friendly and enthusiastic and spoke good English. She had a good knowledge of the menu and gave us some recommendations of dishes and wine. We don't have children but I did notice how well she interacted with children on a nearby table and kept them busy.I had snails and then pike-perch, my partner had soup and then t-bone steak. We were very satisfied with our food, it was beautifully cooked. The Austrian wine was also lovely. Everything was reasonably priced and we didn't have any long waits for anything. The atmosphere was also nice. We would definitely eat here again on our return to Filzmoos. Johanna and Richard xx
Rooms: Sauber und gepflegt. Alles notwendige war vorhanden. Nearby activities: Unzählige Wanderrouten sind ab dem Hotel möglich. Walkability: Kleiner ruhiger Ort, somit kurze Wege. Food drinks: Jeden Abend gab es ein anderes Gänge-Menü zur Auswahl. Qualität der Speisen war super und hochwertig. Rooms: 5
