The Gildestube is a local favorite, rooted in the tradition of the "Wildeshauser Schützengilde", a citizens army which dates back to 1403. Today, the Gilde is a brotherhood of thousands, who celebrate their history each year at Gildefest during Pentecost with parades, parties and a shooting tournament to determine the king. If you visit the restaurant during Gildefest, you may be surprised by a visit from the marching band, which makes for a lively experience!So it's only fitting, with a tradition as long and strong as the Gilde, that this village has the Gildestube, a restaurant offering German standards and local seasonal favorites on the menu.
