Over all the food is good value for money. We usually spend around $80 for 5 adults. We always have enough for a small snack the next day. I have noticed that the king prawn omlette is getting a lot lighter on the prawns. The place is very gloomy and outdated. There is a ridiculous, dirty looking fishtank in the entry, so based on that we always go home to eat. The service has always been great. Worth getting some take away from.
The bean sprout noodles were burnt, the sizzling beef more like Mongolian beef (and too sweet) and special fried rice was nothing special.Very disappointed in this as I researched Chinese take away on trip advisor and went out of my way to drive there based on the great reviews.Maybe I caught them on an off day because it seemed busy so obviously very popular but I won't be going out of my way again.
Great old fashioned Chinese meals in an old fashioned Chinese restaurant the way they use to be cooked generous portions I haven't had short soup with 6 wantons in the serve since I was a child and that was a while ago prawn toast to die for and excellent service right down to hot towels at the end of your meal.Reasonable prices compared with the city and we drove the 20 minutes to try. Worth it
5 of us went for a birthday dinner on a Friday night. We all agreed that it was one of the best chinese meals we have had in Perth. Owner/chef came out to have a chat with us at our table, lovely friendly lady. You must order the prawn toast, best we have had eaten any where. For entre we had samosa and prawn toast. Every dish we have tried over the years is very nice and flavoursome but we always feel particularly thirsty afterwards, and sometimes a little unsettled in the tummy. I suspect they use monosodium glutimate as the food is always freshly cooked, and looks, tastes and smells yum. Service is good both in house dining and take-aways. Prices are excellent.
called in for tea on a Saturday night and was pleased to see Leeanne who is a very friendly waitress. The food was great as usual and excellent value for money. Not many restaurants offer you a hot towel after your meal and some mints.
