The is one of my favorite Chinese vegetarian restaurants. Located in the Atlantic Square near the AMC theater in Monterey Park. It 's one of the last few standing restaurants in this plaza as many have left already. Sad to see this plaza is becoming a ghost town nowadays compared to a few years ago when it was fun to shop and dine here. I like the Szechuan flavor on all these veggie dishes. You can taste the wok hay in every dish. According to Google, “Wok hay,” or wok hei in Cantonese, is a phrase that describes the flavor and aroma that comes from authentic stir-frying. I recently ordered the House Special Chow Mein and House Special Fried Rice and I was disappointed. The food was incredibly bland, lacking any distinctive flavor. The aroma, which usually entices the senses, was also underwhelming and not appetizing. While the meat in both dishes was tender, it still didn't make up for the lack of taste. Overall, the meal was not enjoyable and did not meet my expectations for a delicious Chinese cuisine experience.

Can’t really comment on service, as we got takeout, but the food was extremely bland and uninspired. For reference, we had the crispy (mushroom) chicken; squid, shrimp, tofu, pork broccoli stir-fried dish; and egg rolls. The stir-fry dish was unnecessarily gluey, and every dish was kind of oily and flavorless. It was an unsatisfying meal, and I won’t be returning. But perhaps other dishes are better.

Vegetarian delight!! Although I am not, I do love it here!! The Kung pao chicken is made with oyster mushrooms and it is absolutely my favorite! My other favorite is their assorted casserole.. the “ fish”’taste like seaweed Japanese style is so delicious.. but it is too much lunch for two… a fantastic chinese restaurant for vegetarian!!
The Mushroom orange chicken changed my life. I am healed. I am rejuvenated. I am inspired.In all seriousness, I wasn’t expecting such a vegetarian menu but I loved it.
I have been a customer of this restaurant since 1997, and I can only say that I am disappointed that their food is getting rougher and losing its flavor.
Their A/C was out the whole complex but it was 100% worth it. My favorite vegetarian restaurant! The fried bread is my most favorite!
