Just okay. More of a 3.5 star. Lunch is buffet, but you can get a la carte as well. Ordered half chicken tandoori, lamb vindaloo, and garlic naan. Tandoori took a while (25min? but expected. Though I noticed the buffet had chicken tandoori aswell. It was pretty dry and a bit bland? Lamb vindaloo portion wise was okay. Medium spicy has a bit of a kick. Flavour wasstrong. Garlic naan was okay as well. Garlic flavour not really strong. Can tell it sat around a little bit to come togetherwith the tandoori. Girlfriend ended up buying some more chicken tandoori at another restaurant right afterwards so take thathow you will.
Great food and it seems like a nice family run business. But... lately it seems they have been skimping on the chutney and raita. Maybe due to the inflation we are experiencing today in 2022. Unfortunately, the raita seems watered down. I've hadto ask for more chutney because they only give you one small container with tamarind and one for the green, even afterspending over $120 on different dishes. That is all. If you go, you'll enjoy it. But for me, I need ma chutney and raita.
If you’re hesitant about trying new restaurants like I was, don’t wait any longer—you’re missing out! Mahan Indian is a must-visit. The food was delicious, the service excellent, and the atmosphere delightful. Everything was outstanding, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
This is the best place for me and my family to go eat Indian food. This place is clean, the food is fresh and delicious! The staff is very efficient, very nice people. I would give them 10 stars

Excellent Indian cuisine, outstanding service, and a wide variety of vegan choices! Having lived in Alhambra for several years, this has been my go-to spot.
Weekend lunch buffet was very good. 5 vegetarian options (4 of them vegan). The Aloo Vindaloo, Chana Masala. Dal Tarka, and Saag were especially good.
Delicious food and great service. We ordered several different dishes and shared, then topped it off with pistachio ice cream. Yummy.
One of the best indian food restaurants we have been to. Must try. Def going back many more times!!! Cant wait to try the buffett.

My favorite Indian Food Restaurant. I'm a fan of their food but Mahan is my fav and I've visited several in south california.
The food here is excellent and reasonably priced. I will definitely be saving this spot for future visits!
