Absolutely terrible. We found a mix of reviews for this restaurant but decided to take a chance and try it out. Unfortunately, we were greeted with food that was inedible and frankly quite off-putting. The beef and broccoli had a disturbing red color, while the sauce resembled thickened raw blood made with cornstarch. The sesame chicken was marginally better but left a bright yellow stain on everything it touched. The egg flower soup was as thick as pancake batter and a disturbing urine yellow. After only a few bites, we gave up and, like another reviewer, ended up throwing away our $40. Kinda sad yesterday, because I switched it up and ordered the roast pork egg foo young. The egg foo young part was pretty tasty, but the gravy was too watered down and just no. I didn 't like that they had the gravy already on it instead of on the side. I wish I had known or else I wouldn 't have gotten it or just asked for the gravy on the side, which once again was a no. The fried rice never disappoints, however do a little better with your veggie options because frozen peas and carrots are not it!
I was very disappointed with my experience. The Mongolian beef had way too many onions and was over-seasoned. The squid tasted overly salty, almost like jerky. The chow mein was just overcooked spaghetti, and the special fried rice was so soggy it resembled soup, with too much soy sauce. The miso soup had old pork in it, and who knows when they decided it should have carrots and peas? That's not how American soup is supposed to be, and it was quite unpleasant.
I have been coming here for at least 10 years. It's my go to place for good fresh Chinese. Just like any restaurant they are not always perfect but my experience has been mostly good way more than bad. Our favorites fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, egg foo young, Mongolia beef, Singapore style noodles, wonton soup. We have tried other dishes which were also great. Ordered Egg Flower Soup, Beef Chow Fun, and Orange Chicken. The Egg Flower Soup was thick with lots of egg with just enough salt content to keep me spooning it in. The Beef Chow Fun, was not greasy, which is hard to find! Noodles were soft and springy. The Orange Chicken comes with a subtle brown sauce that clings to the meat, offering smooth richness and and light notes of citrus.
